Goodwill International School admits students from many countries regardless of race, religion, color, gender, nationality or political affiliation.

Students are selected with the understanding that they will be able to develop proficiency in English and Arabic. The selection of any candidate for admission to GIS will be based on academic qualification and in accordance with vacancies that may exist.

Academic Standing:

• Pre-School applicants are admitted only on the basis of a qualifying interview.
• Elementary, Middle & High School students are selected on the basis of the scores obtained on the GIS Entrance Examinations as well as on their previous academic achievement and school recommendation.

Age Limits:

Applicants to the KG 1, KG 2 and KG 3 levels must have completed respectively three, four and five years of age by December 31.

The final selection of any applicant is carried out by the Admission Committee of the school.

• GIS does not have the resources to accommodate students with significant learning or physical challenges.
• All students who wish to join the non-Lebanese program will need to obtain an exemption from Arabic (المقررة العربية اللغة من إعفاء) from the Lebanese Ministry of Education, and permission from the Equivalence Committee to pursue their studies in the foreign program.

The completed application and medical forms, with supporting documents for overseas applicants may be scanned and emailed to the registrar. Parents or legal guardians of local applicants must submit the documents in person.

Phase 1: Submission of Application Form

 A photocopy of identity card, passport or an original Individual Civil Registry Record.
 A transcript of previous and current academic record.
 An original Family Civil Registry Record.
 A non-refundable application fee of USD 20.

Phase 2: Meet the Principal
The registrar will set a meeting with the principal upon the completion and submission of the
application form.

Phase 3: Placement Evaluation
The student will sit for an entrance exam in three main subjects: Arabic, English and Math,
along with an interview with the principal.

Phase 4: Decision
1. Another meeting will be set to inform parents of final decision.
2. A non-refundable registration and development fund fees should be
settled upon acceptance.
